Deployment

All the Beastman characters set up in the Bestigor deathstar
and the other Ungor Raider unit waited in ambush. The Goblin
Wolfriders used thier vanguard move to advance on the right.
Spells:
Great Bray Shaman - Death - Caress of Laniph, Soulblight,
Doom and Darkness, The Fate of Bjuna

Bray Shaman - Shadow - Pit of Shades, Melkoth's Mystifying Miasma

Bray Shaman - Beasts - Pann's Impenetrable Pelt
The Orcs - Piercing Bolts of Burning, The Fate of Bjuna,
Foot of Gork, Hand of Gork, 'Eadbutt, Fists of Gork

Turn 1 - Die Donnergrollen

Rolling a six, the Ungor appeared on the field right behind
the Orc Shaman, who however only had time for a grunt of
surprise before the fanatics came whirling excitedly out of
the Night Goblin mob. The unwary Ungor were all pulverised
as the Fanatics went through the unit as if it hadn't been
there before disappearing off into the distance.
As most of the Beastmen spells were out of range, the only
attempt was Doom and Darkness which was easily dispelled
by the Orc Shaman.

Turn 1 - Waaagh Vrork

With a mighty Waaagh! (what else?) the Orc army began to
advance. A Hand of Gork on the Giant was dispelled, and the
Beastmen were forced to use a dispel scroll to protect the
Shadow Shaman from an 'Eadbutt.

At the last the Shaman tried to summon the Foot of Gork
but there wasn't quite enough Waaagh energy left. The
Goblins shot their arrows completely wild.

Turn 2 - Die Donnergrollen

The Chariots manoeuvered to counter the Orc threat as the
Shamans prepared their magics for an sorcerous attack!
The Fate of Bjuna on the Mangler Squigs was dispelled
but the Orc Shaman couldn't prevent Soulblight and the
Caress of Laniph being cast on the frenzied Squigs, which
fortunately (for them) shrugged off the attack. The Shadow
shaman's last act was to cast the Pit of Shades which was
countered by a dispel scroll.

Turn 2 - Waaagh Vrork

The Manglers crashed through the Beastmen lines, killing the
Ungor Raiders and leaving one smashed and one seriously
damaged chariot behind them, as the rest  of the Orc army
began to encircle the Bestigor Deathstar.

A Fireball on the damaged chariot and the Foot of Gork was
dispelled but the Orc Shaman summoned Gork's Hand to move
the out of control Mangler Squigs to threaten the Bestigor as
a stray arrow wounded one of the crew of the undamaged chariot.

Turn 3 - Die Donnergrollen

As the Bestigor faced off against the Giant and the Black Orcs,
the Shadow shaman failed to cast the Pit of Shades and the
Fate of Bjuna was dispelled. The frenzied squigs managed to
shrug off the Caress of Laniph.

Turn 3 - Waaagh Vrork

As the Night Goblin mob began to advance, one Goblin elbowed
another who promptly swung his bow at the first Goblin, only
to miss and hit another in the face! The advance instantly
ground to a halt as the Ladz used the opportunity to settle
old scores despite the Orc Shaman's threats.
Giving the Night Goblins up as a bad job for this round, the
Shaman ordered the Giant, the Wolfriders and the Chariot to
charge the damaged Beastmen chariots as the Manglers
whirled towards the middle of the field. The Wolf Riders weren't
able to close the distance but the Giant and the Wolf Chariot
 both reached their enemies.
Trying to ignore the squabbling Goblins, the Orc shaman called
on Gork but his Hand was dispelled by the Bray Shaman. Appealing
once again to his savage Gods, the shaman summoned Gork's
Foot which stomped twice directly onto the Bestigor unit with
uncanny (if not supernatural) accuracy! A scroll of protection
and the Lichebone Pennant afforded the Beastmen some protection
but 12 lifeless bodies were left on the cold ground as the shaman
screamed in triumph.
The Goblin chariot crashed into its Beastmen counterpart and
instantly destroyed it while the Giant thumped the other chariot
so hard that he drove the squashed remains deep into the earth
before he followed up and ran off the table.

Turn 4 - Die Donnergrollen

The Bestigor herd, surrounded on all sides, tried to break out
of the trap they were in by charging the Black Orcs but it was
a long shot (double 6) and they ground to a halt a long way
before the Orcs.

The Pit of Shades was dispelled with total power although the
Shaman couldn't prevent Soulblight and the Mystical Miasma
being cast on the Black Orcs. The Mangler Squigs
survived Laniph's Caress without ill effects.

Turn 4 - Waaagh Vrork

The Mangler Squigs rampaged through the Bestigor, killing
seven as the afflicted Black Orcs backed away from the Beastmen.
The Orcs chose not to cast any magic.

The Squig Hopper Riders directed their mad, if not insane, mounts
towards the Bestigor and found both lower level shamans
on the flank of the Beastman herd. They managed to strike down
one Night Goblin and his mount but the remaining Squigs ate the two
shamans alive! Shaken but resolute the Beastmen stayed in the fight.

Turn 5 - Die Donnergrollen

Embroiled in combat with his unit, the Great Bray Shaman cast
Soulblight on the Orc Shaman but lost control of the spell,
wounding himself and leeching power from the winds of magic.
The Orc Shaman dispelled Laniph's Caress and the Fate of Bjuna.

In the combat in the middle of the field, 3 warriors fell on both
sides and the last Squig Hopper turned and fled with the Bestigor
close behind him.

Turn 5 - Waaagh Vrork

The Shaman bellowed "Waaaagh" at the top of his voice and
practically all of the Orc army charged the Bestigor, only the
Giant failing to make it.

The Wargor and the Bray Shaman managed to kill four Goblins,
bust as four Bestigor fell to the impact of the chariot and the
rest were cut down by the gleeful greenskins, they knew their
doom was upon them! The Bray Shaman was felled by the heavy
axes of the grim Black Orcs and, surrounded on all sides, the
Wargor died defending the Beastman Battle Standard.
The Orcs were victorious!
Waaaaagh!
The Orcs win 20:00
